Moonlight becomes youLe Clair De Lune Vous Devient
My Gig poster is following along with the vintage posters. I choose this one because I thought it would be fun because I kinda like that era, where women wore dresses. In the vintage posters most of them are in French so I make the title in French. Le Clair De Lune Vous Devient means Moonlight becomes you and that is supposed to be the name of the concert and the bands that are playing in the concert are Snow White and the seven Dwarfs, The Dreamers, and Raggedy Anns. I made the date for the poster today’s date so I could remember in the future when I made this poster and I made the Place Palomar but just in three different words so make it more creative. For this poster I used 5 different photographs the clouds are one, the moon is one, the grass is two, and Me J. With the clouds I changed their color to look a little grayer, I used the Paint bucket. I also copied and pasted the same cloud to make it look a little more simple not too cluttered as it would have been if I used three different clouds. I placed them the way they are to make your eye follow them down to the box and so they would be shaping me too. For the moon I used the Stamp filter and used gray color to make it look more like the moon. I put my dads face in the middle to represent the man in the moon. For me a added a paint filter to make me look more like a drawing instead of a photograph, since I don’t think they put together pictures back then. I added a drop shadow to the text to make it look more like the vintage posters. I selected a box around the bands and when and where to make it pop out more.
I had a lot of fun taking all of these pictures, it was kinda hard to make the grass look like grass and the cloud was hard to draw in the air instead of paper. I took the idea from the vintage posters and added my own touch with the light painting and my own style.
